This accumulator tank from Osculati is a robust and practical solution designed for use in boats or caravan water systems.

Engineered from high-quality ABS, this accumulator tank ensures remarkable durability and resistance against impacts and corrosive environments that are typical in these environments.

The ABS construction allows for safe integration in both fresh and salt water systems, making it ideal for a wide range of marine equipment.

The tank features a lightweight design, which is essential for weigh distribution in campervans and boats. The smooth surface of the ABS material allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, ensuring longevity.

The ABS accumulator tank is resistant to UV rays, preventing degradation caused by sun exposure.

We manufacture a range of 9 different sized metal tanks, which can be used for either drinking water, grey water, black water or fuel. All tank sizes are available in a choice of 3 materials:

  • 304 stainless steel for inland waterway craft
  • 316 stainless steel for sea going craft
  • 5083 marine grade aluminium for all craft

 

Stainless steel is ideal for all marine tanks due to its durability and corrosion resistance. Stainless is a favourite choice for fresh water tanks, as it doesn’t affect the taste of drinking water.

Aluminium is lighter than stainless steel, and is a popular choice for fuel tanks.

What makes Jay Wolfe tanks special?

  • Each tank has a 200mm (8”) diameter inspection hatch. This is bigger than those on most standard plastic tanks, allowing for easier access to your tank.
  • One of 4 unique fitting systems (for either fresh water, fuel, grey water or black water) fits onto the inspection opening, and along with a BA60 nitrile gasket seals the hatch.
  • Each tank comes with connections for a filler (1 ½” BSP) and a level sender (1 ¼” BSP).
  • All external seams are TIG welded, by our experienced fabricators, using specialist shielding gases and filler wire. This produces strong welds with good penetration and corrosion resistance, all but eliminating worries about welds “cracking”.
  • Each tank (except 40 & 60 litre) has strategically placed baffles, stitch welded on all 4 sides inside the tank, to give the tank rigidity and structure, as well as reducing the effects of movement inside the tank.
  • Each tank is individually pressure tested, and comes plated with a unique serial number ensuring full traceability in the future.

CE & UKCA Marking

Jay Wolfe tanks have gone through rigorous testing, including 25,000 impulse pressure tests, to be awarded the CE & UKCA marks. All 9 sizes of our aluminium and stainless steel standard tanks are certified for fuel. The aluminium tanks can be used for either petrol or diesel and the stainless steel versions for diesel. To comply with the Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) your fuel tank should be CE marked.

All our standard tanks are made in accordance with both ISO 8099 (for black water) and ISO 21487 (for fuel) and they come with the appropriate declaration of conformity. NB Water tanks do not require ISO certification.

Galvanic Corrosion

Can stainless steel fittings be used safely on an aluminium tank?
Bimetalic (Galvanic) Corrosion can occur in a marine environment when aluminium and stainless steel are in direct contact with each other. To avoid this risk we recommend the use of Tef-Gel on all aluminium tanks as an insulating seal where stainless steel fittings are used.
