Useful for decreasing the size of the fittings in your pipework, these investment cast threaded reducers are handy to have around. They are rated to 150lb / 10 bar and they are suitable for use in marine environments as they are made from 316 grade stainless steel.
These reducing couplings are available in a range of imperial BSP thread sizes from 1/4″ up to 2″. These female to male reducing couplings are often referred to as reducing bushes. They have an internal female BSP thread on the top, and a male BSP thread on the bottom.
Female BSP threads are parallel and male BSP threads are tapered. Female parallel sockets fit well into male tapered nipples.
